Message from the Co-Presidents

(EN ESPAÑOL ABAJO)

Dear GHS Families,

February break already feels like a long time ago but we do hope you are feeling rested, recharged and excited for March! And don’t forget - April break is right around the corner.

GHS PTA Volunteers have been hard at work preparing for all the upcoming events.

SummerFare welcomed a record breaking 105 exhibitors and over 800 attendees. We are thrilled to announce this was one of our largest turnouts ever. It was exciting to see so many families making summer plans. Thank you to our amazing volunteers for making this such a huge success.

Diversity week will now be a series of events throughout the year. We are kicking off programming with a performance by the New York City Opera and Sam Mihara, a motivational speaker who tells the story of his experience as a 9 year old being detained in a Japanese prison camp in 1942.

Tickets for Paint the Town Red on March 31st at 7:00 pm at Tamarack Country Club are selling fast.  If you are unable to join us you are still welcome to participate in our silent auction. More details to follow in how to participate in the silent auction as we get closer to the event. Please see below for how to purchase tickets.

Save the date for our next GHS PTA Membership meeting on March 23rd at 7 PM “How to help your child discover and nurture academic and extracurricular interests in preparation for college”. The panel of experts will be Jennifer Burstiner, Independent Educational Consultant, Brad Harris, ESM Prep and Caroline Tucker, Dunbar Educational Consultants.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy Spring!  Thank you for your support!
